DAY 1 CUSCO/PISCACUCHO

8:00hrs. We will travel up to PISCACUCHO (K.m.82 of the railroad that goes towards Machu Picchu).
9:00hrs. Once In PISCACUCHO, we will initiate the first day of trek, following the right way of the river Urubamba, in descending sense. The first archaeological site(place) that we will visit is SALAPUNKU, archaeological monuments constituted by walls similar to those of Sacsayhuaman, place that works as a fort against assaults or possible invasions, beside being the door of control of access to the valley (altitude; 2623).
The following point of arrival is QANABAMBA (km 85,4 of the railroad), after discovering its places , we will continue the way up to coming to WAYRAQPUNKU’s ruins, closely together of the river Vilcanota, continuing the way will arrive to ÑUSTA HISPANAQ viewing-point, immediately afterwards we will see an archaeological group called PINCHAUNUYUQ (altitude; 2605) (Km 87 of the railroad).
Continuing our voyage, we will come to QORIWAYRACHINA’s archaeological monument (Altitude; 2520) after to walk in this place and appreciate its magnificent architecture ,we will cross the river for a suspension bridge towards Sanctuary Garden’s camp, where they will choose their tents, they will leave their things also, we will rest and have lunch.
(In this first part of the trekking you should carry your whole baggage by yourselves, the following tour only will take your day-pack, being able to leave the rest in your respective tents).
To go on with the trekking we will cross the bridge following the right bank of the Urubamba River and continue downstream to TORONTOY, archaeological site, featuring for having unique carved buildings whose main attraction is the presence of a huge stone with 54 angles that finely joined 28 other stones make up a wall with windows. (Altitude: 2600 m).
After delighting in the beauty of the ruins and the view, return to the camp.
Once in the camp we will rest with bonfire and board games, waiting for the Dinner and rest. (L,D)

DAY 2 MACHUQ’ENTE / AGUAS CALIENTES

07:00 BREAKFAST
We will start the second day, following the the right side of river Vilcanota , in order to arrive to MACHUQ’ENTE, extensive inka´s sidewalks that draw the silhouette of a hummingbird. (Altitude: 2350 m).
We will arrive to WAYNAQ’ÈNTE one of the most beautiful archaeological sites wich offer the Sanctuary Garden trail. (Altitude: 2550 m).
After the visit and tour of the place, we will go to MEDIA LUNA where we will get lunch.
After the lunch, we will go to LLAQTAPATA, known also with Qentemarka’s name, majestic archaeological site with more of 100 unique buildings (altitude 2790).
Later we will go to PULPITUTYOQ, an archaeological group that works as ceremonial center Inca located in Llaqtapata’s oriental band (altitude 2500) then we will go to Piscacucho.
When the bus will pick us up and take us to Ollanta.
21.00 hs. We will depart to Aguas Calientes where we will spend the night. Overnight at selected accommodation (B,L)

DAY 3 WAYNA PICCHU / INTIPUNKU & MACHU PICCHU / CUSCO

Around five in the morning we are going to ascent with direction to the Historic sanctuary MACHU PICCHU; and immediately we start to explore the giant Inca’s citadel in a average time of two and two and a half hours approximately; we are going to visit with our guide: The Main square, INTIHUATANA, THE MORTERO’S ROOM, THE THREE WINDOWS TEMPLE, THE CONDOR’S TEMPLE and many important points in Machu Picchu; after we go to:

WAYNAPICCHU: The picturesque mountain backdrop shown in the classic photographs, the full path will take us an average of four hours the same order to explore constructions located on the top of Wayna Picchu and follow the path towards a place called Temple of the Moon AND / OR GREAT CAVE, which at the sacrifice of walking we will be well rewarded.

When we return if we have physical strength necessary to continue our walk we will go to:

INTIPUNKU: Known like Sun’s door that taking the opposite direction of arrival of the Inca Trail can climb an average of one hour to explore the qualities of the place and finally back in the direction of Aguas Calientes.
Then according to our scheduled train return to Cusco, in the station will be waiting for us our transport to return to Hotel or lodging. (B,L)

Sleeping bag : You can hire sleeping bags in our office. All sleeping bags are synthetic or feather (easy to wash). They are washed after every use and are guaranteed to be clean.
Cost: US$25 per person for the 3 days/2 nights trek. Weight 2.5 kg and are rated to 12 degrees below freezing (nice and warm even during the coldest of nights experienced on the Inca Trail).

Park authorities may occasionally designate different campsites than those indicate The Inca Trail is part of the Machu Picchu Sanctuary, a protected area of 32,592 hectares. Every visitor must obey park regulations prohibiting littering, cutting or damaging trees, removing or damaging stones of ruins and the Trail, removing plants, killing animals, lighting open fires or camping in the archeological sites (Only authorized campsites can be used).
